The quarter life:
Out of college and in a new job. Moving up the ranks and excited about change. Looking for new ways to grow and wanting to explore what more scrumptious things life has to offer.
Ok now what? The year goes by, life continues to happen and a few things kick you in the butt. Your tired and ready for excitement. So, you search, you grind, you dream and have goals.
Ok now what? You live at home, you have no assets, you look back to highschool when you had specific goals to attain by this time and now you wonder: What the hell is going on!??
Now you search your brain for bright ideas and spontaneous actions.
Nothing.
Ok now what?
Yes, this is a rant. Maybe i'll feel better after it. Hopefully.
These feelings come and go for the majority of us. I guess it's apart of our world and helps to vibrate new desires that will change our present outlook.
Cue the corny cliche: "A new day is coming and the sun will rise again!"
Peace

Vacate Like A European

Im taking 3 weeks vacation. Well, not taking but using the hours I have earned. Gone are the days I take two or three days, or even one solid week - minus the weekend.
There are a lot of people in America that get a certain amount time off annually once we become an employee of a company or organization. Those people also accumulate time as they work.
If you accumulate and work hard and need a break, why not go for the gold and use the hours your obliged to?
I went to Jamaica about two summers ago, and met a few British citizens. They would ask me how long I'm staying in town and I would answer "oh 3 nights four days. I'll be home by Friday."
They just stared at me blankly.
So I ask them the same question. Their answer? "oh about two weeks or so." Or so? Immediately I'm thinking, wow how do or how can you afford that much time off? I was the only guest at the hotel just getting "a taste of Jamaica."
I mean how can anybody really visit an island and get to know it through and through if I'm not even staying long enough to get off the resort and explore?
So why do we Americans take such shitty breaks?
We care too much about what other people think. We also over analyze what may or may not happen while we're gone. And don't forget the folks who are just plain scared of losing their job. If they fire you while your on vacay then you didn't need to be there any way.
A vacation/time off is a great prescription for BURNOUT.
I was burnt out. Tired of the same routine and ready to shake it up a bit. So, I decided to refresh from taking a non traditionally long break.
So. How much vacation is enough?
I say take as loooong as you need. I used to think about being mindful of fellow employees, their work load, what they may or may not be able do and what not. But, that's HOGWASH.
When they are out on vacay, i'm pretty sure they are not thinking about me.
Tip #1:
Breaking away means breaking COMPLETELY away. Don't worry about the office. Like attracts like so if you worry then something drastic may happen.
I feel people will rise to the occasion and begin to be more SELF RELIANT. And if something does happen then it's supposed to. Leave it alone.
Some people take a hiatus, a gap year, a mental break (because the doctor says so), or do months or a year long work related break or job in some other city.
Tip #2
There are all kinds of break away opportunities. I had a former employee who went away on a fellowship for a year. She broke away from our office into another one. Gaining experience she can bring back to help us grow. (though she never came back. lol)
Then there's the hiatus. That's time off for specific reasons, mostly a huge SICK LEAVE opportunity but why wait til you get ill or a family member gets ill? That's not a vacation. YOU DESERVE BETTER. Another popular break is a GAP YEAR. Usually recent highschool or college graduates take a gap year abroad and explore the globe before buckling down into a "scheduled" life of classes or cubicle life.
Tip #3
What do you need? A mental break? An island oasis? Family time? Answer that question first then plan (a bit)how long YOU believe YOU need to take care of YOURSELF. I decided on three weeks because after 5 days I still need time to amp myself back up to going back to the office. One week is enough to relax, but another is added to change some thoughts and habits. The third week is to put the new me all together.
Tip #4
Employment is shaky in this part of the world and folks are being fired, furloughed or just plain QUITTING. If one of the above, use a long time off to make smooth transitions into another job or frame of mind. With furloughs, you can combine your furlough days with your LEAVE HOURS and make, making no money worth your time. I have been furloughed 4 days already and (tentatively) have 2 more days to go.
If fired, most people panic; But this is the best time to try something new. Delve deeper into a hobby that can become a new living or take a class and learn something (there are free courses for those with little budgets). Take a break before hitting the pavement and clear your head. It's a chance TO DO WHAT YOU LOVE!
Quitting a job means its a done deal. You've had enough. Lets say you have a new job. Why quit one day and get back in the office the next? Make that transition as smooth as possible and take a break to BREATHE. Your body and mind need to relax and need to be prepared to take in another environment. - Which leads me to the last tip:
Tip #5
New environment means NEW ENERGY. New energy can boost you up or down, change your outlook on your life and open the door to more and great opportunities to grow in your personal success. Energy is in all things and helps make the shift into another perspective of your world.
So, TAKE A BREAK ALREADY!!!!!
Shoot, I sure am.

Peace,
Unique

It's Manifesting Time again - Do what WORKS!
Ok, so in the past I've found myself writing out desires, needs and wants in a list in order to internalize them and let it hang out there for the Universe to capture.
Writing is a great way to release, share, and take a look at your life from another perspective. Writing puts it in front of you and if its online you definitely can't run away from it.
Whenever I make my lists, I let it marinate on its own (see last post) Usually I forget about it and come back to it in a few weeks or days and read it again.

What happens is I see things on that list that have already manifested into my personal reality. Those situations are unfolding or blatantly in my face!
So from doing that writing exercise I realize I must be letting "something" go. My emotions fall into my words and the Universe stops it from hitting the ground. It's a form of meditation for me. And I don't mind sharing with others.
Now, I haven't done that writing exercise in a looooong while and its actually very simple. Its just a list. If I know it works, and If I know its a great way to "let go" why not do it? You know, I can't stand it when someone's given an opportunity or choice or process to make something happen and they don't do anything with them. It's just dangling in their faces. What I see in them is obviously a flaw in ME.
So enough with be a hypocrite in telling others to keep doing what works and im not even doing it.
Why do WE block ourselves from sweet release? Because we want to do things the hard way. The HARD WAY is a MYTH. If we're spiritually rooted in abundance than we are definitely physically rooted in abundance too.
So START DOING WHAT WORKS!
(side note) I write everything from the end. What I wish to manifest and see has already been seen and DONE!
1. I created a Global Music Network. It's full of creative, cool content
2. The Global Music Network website has a good amount of followers that enjoy the site
3. I have financial support for my travels. It came quicker than I imagined!
4. A personal makeover was a great way for me to refresh ME to the core!

5. Miami for a month, working on what I am passionate about. WE GLOBAL
6. Travel to Colorado for skiing and mingling in awesome company.
7. Explore the music and dance of Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Netherlands while in Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and The Netherlands.~
8. Released ALL Financial Challenges and am GREAT FRIENDS with my financial portfolio and life!

PPT Organization
Lately I've noticed that when my mind is all over the place it can be shown in my appearance, my work, and attitude. Now, no I haven't been in a bad mood with folks, but more so a bad mood with myself.
I've realized I really need to get organized. So, I was on a quest to get clear about what I want in my life and then design a path to follow and attain it. I recognize it as a starting point and platform.
Here's how I got myself clear and maybe this will help you too, or give you an idea of how to break down an obstacle.
Plan-Prayer-Time Organization (ppt organization):
PLAN:
First I wrote a table and made separate columns for: Projects, Goals, & Process.
I listed every project and idea (impulses too, sometimes their the most fun!)I had at the moment and for each one named a few goals. Then wrote out the process I could take to make it happen.
Now after making my lists I didn't dwell on them much, because one thing that stops us from accomplishing our goals is worrying about the details. Yes, I wrote out a process for each but I made simple processes like "share info through a website," or "use craigslist."
PRAYER:
Meditation, prayer, being silent; any way you slice it, these are ways to think or not think about your new impulses. In the immortal words of Martin
(from TV show Martin), LET IT MARINATE.
Marinating gives it some breathing room, and time to soak into the Universe and your mind. At times marinating on a thought or idea is the best way to see it manifest. Your feelings are pretty neutral and positive. There's no resistance.
TIME:
My next step was to print out a blank calendar so I fill it out and set aside pockets of time of when I will work on these projects. Don't overlap anything. Each project has its OWN time and priority.
So, that's where I am right now.
If you'd like a copy of (example) of the templates I made and where to find a blank calender, leave a comment.
Thanx and Happy Valentines Day!

Extra Money Making Ideas...Part 1

"I've got an idea!" Is what I thought after successfully helping someone make about $400 extra dollars of income in one month.
First thought: How cool, i'm so proud of them. Second thought: Hey, why can't I do that for myself?
Sometimes we get in our own way. And this is not the first time I had this idea and its not the 1st time its been presented to me.
I have the ability to rattle off a mountain of ideas to other people about almost ANYTHING. I see people take the idea, affirmation, or moment and continue down the path of success whether they realize it or not. I've also seen others catch it then throw it back.
So, I've decided that I am available to help others (which I love doing anyway) who want to have their own business and may even know how to run a hot business but can't seem to be creative enough to keep it up.
With an idea, a plan, and some consultation I know I can have you making an extra income in good time. It feels good to know that I have do able, extra money making ideas!
The New York Times Magazine issue for December 13, 2009 stared at me every time I stepped into the room and saw it laying on my desk. "The 9th Annual Year in Ideas." was the talk of the issue and has some pretty incredible inventions that of course started with a GREAT idea. I see it as a BIG hin from GOD. So, I've got a plan.
I'm helping others turn ideas into bucks and bucks into EMPIRES!!!
Of course I'll be building an empire of my own along the way. That 1 1/2 hour consultation I had with the future business owner was a value of little more than 30% of what she actually made. I could have charged that while she made triple the amount in profit. I'm glad she asked me for help because by helping her (and others) I discovered a working business for myself that I enjoy and can do as often as I want.
If interested, I will send you a break down of my services. Here's a simple summary of how it will work.
One Idea
One Plan
One Consultation
Idea, Plan, Consultation in one or all separate. Whichever you prefer. Price will vary depending on amount of ideas and plans needed and hours of consultation. So dial into it and start your EMPIRE!
There is no website right now, simply because I want my clients, YOU, to let me know what YOU need and want to see, before I jump in without a concrete PLAN.
Did you see the magic word for today? PLAN!

Gran Bahia Principe -Jamaica
Jammin in Jamaica! Okay thats a bit cheesy but, its the truth. From the moment you settle in your chair on Air Jamaica (COME BACK!), to the moment an authentic Red Stripe hits your lips.
I started with a mimosa and delicious breakfast (inlcuded!), and was entertained by Island Vibes and a British prank show. Oh how I love champagne service. Once in the perimeters of Jamaica I glanced out the window at smooth waters and a bright sun. Walking off of a plane, weather is the first thing to hit you and it was Hot Hot Hot Hot!
Jamaica is always ready to serve and please its visitors and scored high with me by offering an outdoor Margaritaville near the hotel shuttles. My lips enjoyed a Jamaican inspired Tequila sunrise and then I was on my way. By now i'm tippin' and excited to reach the resort. We take a moment to stop at a "planned" road side store and restaurant and I act like a tourist and check out the souvenirs (such a no no). Of course, can't keep the party going with out a fresh, cold, Red Stripe. Mmmmm.
So, drinking like this is another no no when your not smart enough to take a restroom break at the rest stop ( I go before and after a flight now).
Fifteen minutes into the ride to the hotel Im squimish in my seat because of my 3 drinks. Im also admiring the couple infront of me, their on the way to get Married at my resort and im also noticing the goats alongside the road. Baaaa.
And there it was....A white castle in the sun. Gran Bahia Principe, Jamrock. So gorgeous and only about a 40 minute ride from the airport. I rushed off the shuttle upon arriving, whisked away my luggage and ran to the beautiful restroom.
Thats right ladies and gents,my first inside look at the resort was a blurr.
Once I got myself together I walked past the snack buffet and to the lobby and stood there looking at the blue Ocean. At last, I made it to paradise.
Yea, paradise. Basically all I wanted to do was relax, pamper myself, eat, drink and chill. And Thats exactly what I did.
