Miami for the 4th time/I Rock The MIC

Greetings all, I went to Miami again peoples!! For the first time I stayed in a Hostile. The Jazz on South Beach hostile to be exact, just South of 5th or "Sofi." I think "Sofi"is the bomb! Much quieter than the rest of South Beach and the condos look so fresh and new. Well some of them. I would love to move there some day. Soon.

Ok, so Im doing this blog in pieces, so you wont get the whole spiel here, right now. (working on it in the few mins I have left at work).

When I first stepped into the hostile I was a bit nervous. I was going to be sharing a room with about 6 other girls, dormitory style. ^ stragers form all over the world! Check in was cool but when I stepped in the room it was just simple. I chose a bed and got re-dressed because the event of the night was "Nocturnal Night Club" in downtown Miami. The only thing I couldn't stand and made me even more nervous to stay the ngiht was that someone had funked up the restroom and left a puddle of water on teh floor. DISGUSTING!!!!

But, it all got cleaned up by one of the workers and the smell subsided. Im glad, ciz the night was long and I would soon revisit the infamous stall.

Peace and hair greaze folks, im cuttin't short tonite. There'll be more later.

Greetings people1

I dont have much to speak on today but I wanted to come on and write something. For all of those people who actualy read this blog I thought I owed you some content. SO, I guess I can write about what I've been doing on the net today, some things i've come across and whatever else pops into my mind.

Everyday I make it a point to check out my fave gossip blog. YoungBlackandFabulous First thing I peep is Trina, the Baddest B****! She's apparently doing a cover for a black hair magazine. The feature/author of YBF asked if her readers thought Trina's photo shoot was FAB or FABOO. Im gonna go with FaBoo! There were two pics I thought were gorgeous, but the others just werent workin'. I mean the sytlist just slapped some stuff on ol'girl and thought it looked cute. Although she was flossin a nice black outfit and sleek green/aua piece in two pics that were gorgeous. And the wig was very obvious. I cant speak too much bout it cuz im wearing a wig at the moment, (some think its real but if its a lace front its too obvious. She has no baby hair!

Anyways, YBF always has a place in my heart. I love me some Tash!

A little late in the day (30mins ago) I had to check on my Youtube Subscriptions. Theres always that one person, that one account, thats utterly unique and fun to check out (besides mine). DEJUAN P is one of my favorite YouTube pals. So, today Dejuan was talkin' about his Gay character he presented to the world a while back(Jason Vorhees)and how he believes the producers of South Park stole the idea. You got to watch to understand. Click the LINK. Dejuan is a character. Very funny, down to earth, open, insightful, and exciting to watch and listen to. Gotta love'em.

Lastlty I was checking out a hotel in Miami cuz im going back real soon! Thinking of Miami Beach gives me butterflies. I just luv it there. Here's something to show you why I luv it so much: Just some scenery.

Manifesting and travel!

Greetings all! So, I've been a bit absent from the blogosphere but never fears, for I am back. Locked, loaded, aand ready.

So, my last thoughtful blog was about manifesting interesting things in your life by way of attraction.

Yea, I've been constantly watching "The Seret," Reading The Four Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss,(and loving it!) (Trying my best to follow it.) And I've had my nose in other cool resources to help me get a grasp on my reality and create whatever I want.

Now, in response to the list and challenge I made, Yea, I manifested extactly what I wanted.

I've been participating in interesting workshops and classes raning form realestate to food, I've seen and used my unexpected income and was very greatful for it, I had a fantabulous time in Miami by the way!

Thats imcome helped my to fully enjoy so many things in Miami. I've been asking, telling the universe and putting things out there and i am very satisfied with the outcome. Its incredible!

There are some things coming up in the world of travel and lifestyle, and I will be sure to let you al in on the scoop. Its time to get back to the format.

In the meantime, feast your eyes on my photos and video from wonderful South Florida.
This was my 4th time going and I went with a great friend of mine. We drove all the way there and saw some interesting and questionable thangs.

So, here's to manifesting and enjoy!

Manifesting 2...Some good stuff.

remember the manifesting blog? Wellllll....

I'm seeing some good action. Manifestations 2 thru 4 have surfaced and boy am I tingly from it.

Im went to a B'day shindig last night. Met some new people ate good food and engaged in some great eye candy.

Barbecue on Monday! So, excited.

Now my #1, I have to work on. I think i've been too adamant and demanding. Plus I think about it a lot. The others I asked, revisited a few times, but also just let it to the wind. But, I did get a jumbo buck lottery ticket. The first one was a no go, the second one won me another ticket, and the third was a no go. Im still optimistic! (It was for a sum up to $10,000.

Anybody else manifesting?

Luv,
Me

I'm real....

I once heard someone say, "People should be real when you first meet them. Why dont they just lay it all out on the table right there?" And of course many others have been told, "1st impressions are everything."

This [To Me]is a bit of a contradiction.

You say 1st impression is everything, but some people, in this world, have had a few assumptions and expectations of who their meeting(know, date etc.). If the person doesn't meet these assumptions and expectations, then the 1st impression is tainted. Folks want to make good impressions. You want someone to be real (or yourself), but who actually shows their full selves within 5 mins to 3 hours of a date or meeting?

"People should just be real..."

Who says, that when you meet someone, they aren't being real. You may not think so, because they don't think like you, they're a different being. Their living their life, not yours. Just because you didnt find out about any annoying habit the first day doesn't mean they were hiding anything. You may not know how emotionless they can be until you spen some real time with them.

What is being real?

Real is being you. You give certain pieces of you with every step you take, with every moment you have, and every breath you breathe. Happy today, sad tomorrow. excited today, nervous tonite. Its still you, just in different situations and circumstances.

We evolve every day.

In reality, (my reality), you will never know someone completely. People change, we evolve, we learn, we grow, hopefully for the better. Every situation, trial, conflict was put in that space to teach us something, to help us live.

I believe not being real means: "not being who I want you to be" or "doing what I want you to do." (Hypothetically speaking)

We have only one life and we have to live it. I mean really live! Do what works for you and take care of yourself. Everyone should be a little selfish. (in the good sense)Look out for yourself (and those dear to you). You may not fit into everyones perception of you, you cant let others dictate your life.

Why?

Ok, so your not submissive, attentive, or a follower. Who cares. Everyone has faults. Who are we to say what those are? The powers that be created a unique paradigm, of spirit, flesh, energy & personality. Thats YOU. It makes me want to cry to know that people can be so self-centered and ungreatful. But it is what it is. Learn to let go and run after EXCITEMENT.(I am)(but run after what you want)

Out of all that I've learned its best to "do you." Appreciate everyone for who they are, (they affect your life whether you like it or not), Reach for respect (don't blame, but get that RESPECT),I used to say pick your battles(wisely)but why have battles? That word shouldn't even be in your vocabulary. Let "it" go, (whatever "it" is. Its not worth wasting your living time), stay true to you (other peeps r no matter how you twist it)), think & speak positively. (Our thoughts and words are so powerful).

Please be you. Be respectful of course(don't bring harm to yourself or others). Love is the key. No matter how you give it, its unique to you.

Manifesting

Alright, heres a littel project. I was watching the secret and they mentioned within the film to think of manifesting something great in your life. First try something small, be very detailed, so you know you co-created the reality. Once you get the hang of it try something huge, amazingm uplifting & great! REMEMBER TO BE POSITIVE AND KIND WITH THIS!

In my second to last blog I noticed i've manifested some things in my life so far. You know, like certain kinds/types of people (I believe in the energy of others), insights, ideas from different resources, opportunities. yada yada yada. (Theres something on my mind now im trying to get rid of), (poc and pod; c myspace.com/accessconscious).

So, heres an experiment.
Some want to manifest money, love, peace in the world, relationships, material items, sex & things of that nature. I want to make this fun!

How about:

1. Legal Money / Unexpected Income

2. FREE Healthy Food/Special Food. I luv to eat!

3. Hot men. Just to look at. And maybe talk to. You know - the positive, sane kind.

4. ____________ Name of person you like.

N E One reading can comment back and let me know what their manifesting and if it has come to be. Manifest to you, be safe, considerate, & positive.

Peace Be With You...

Having Babies...

Ok, Im getting a bit confused. Everywhere I turn, everywhere I look, there are babies. Dont get me wrong. I luv those little bundles of joy. I've bcome an instant aunty and I love it! But, EVERYWHERE?!

Television, work, magazines, conversations. Im thinking maybe this a sort of symbolism. Of course it means new birth, new lives, new world of people. But what about the symbolism for me?

Well, I did get a new job. So thats one beginning. I have a career changing idea in the works. Thats another beginning. I guess it means that my job, my business ventures, my friendships, my personal feelings, my life is being born. Well, re-born.

I've just been anxious and fidgety these days. Im ready for my career to take an energetic upgrade. I've been searching fo rsomething. Excitement! Thrills! Interest! Carefreeness! Happiness! Im already happy. Fullfillment!

Its all there I just have to grab it. My reality is what I choose it to be. I realize Ive been manifesting some pretty interesting things. Now, I want the other wonderful stuff Ive been voicing. Only the positive of course.(I only talk positive anyways)(now its time to keep chaning my thoughts.) I know in due time, what I am worthy of - and thats a lot - will come my way.

Thanks for listening (reading). Im much better now.

Live moment by moment. Each present moment affects future moments. (feelings)

By the way. I met a guy who said he was complicated whom turned out to be complicated indeed and now he's just my complicated male friend.

I'd rather read a book. At Borders.

Peace and Hair Grease.

Stolen, Manifest, Found

Greetings All!

So, I am getting into this law of attraction blessing. I am being observant of myself more and more every day and monitoring my thoughts. I've been watching the secret. I've been reading books that uplift me, articles that I can learn from, Videos that send good messages and writing in my blog. I want the Universe to hear me loud and clear!

I learned that your thoughts create your reality. Your in charge. Your given choices by the almighty and your given the choice to make the decisins that lay in your heart. Everyday I chck my thought process. I mean I am a positive person anyway, but I still harbor thoughts and feelings that trap me and block my blessings. I am also learning and growing through the art of letting go. It's a beautiful thing people. Brush it off and continue your life.

Manifesting (positive) is fun!

My purse was stolen out of the trunk of a friends car this weekend. Of course when I noticed it was gone I was a bit confused, overwhelmed and pissed. For a good ten to fifteen minutes I began to think about what was in the bag and I got upset. But then I realized that the money I had, payerfully, is helping someone right now. Their eating, and keeping warm somewhere because of the money I earned from working hard. I was upset at first because that was my two car payments. Now I have to start all over. But it could've been worse and I was able to be a blessing to someone else even if they did steal from me.

I had other important documents as well. Which I knew could be replaced. The one thing that bugged me was that my important documents are detrimental (spelling?) to the kinds of jobs I was interviewing for. So, I cried a little cause I knew it hurt so much. I must really want to be in the industyr I'm pursuing. I didnt know it was that deep. My feelings were hurt, cause I was giving my best at applying and interviewing, and promoting my self for travel and tourism occupations.

I looked on the bright side finally and thought, others have lost much more in other situations. I was blessed. So, I let it go. I was happy that I can replace my documents. (of course thinking of the money made me breakdown for bout a 2 mins today)

Because I knew everything would work out and I let the universe deal with it I bega to feel better and focus on what makes me feel goo in order to stay in a good mood. (good thing to do).

Guess what?!!! I got my bag back. They took my one of my important docs. and of course the money. But at least I dont have to expedite my passport cause I have that now, thanks to the officers who found it in a bush somewhere. God bless them!

Wel, I have an open house/interview, and info session early in the morning for another airline. This is it! I can feel it. Im so excited. My infosession with a cruise line last week was awesome. I'm looking forward to a new career change. Travel and media are my passions and i am ready to upgrade!

I celebrated at Whole foods, then got an allergic reaction to my fave shrimp kabobs. Think it was a mix up of utensils used to pick them up. (Thai salmon next to it had peanuts in it!). I spoke with two mangers and they gave my money back plus a $25 gift card! Yes! I'll be back. Won't be eating from near anything thai though. I get a crazy reaction(s) from peanuts. But all is well, and i'm at work, manifesting, clear minded, and reading and awatching stuff on youtube and myspace about the law of attraction and life. One last thing. Manifest. Manifesting. Visualize. Visualizing. Although I am doing a lot of freelance work and being an entrepreneur I am still searching for a full time job. Full time career would be great. I am trying my hardest to break into the travel and tourism industry (cruise lines, airlines, more travel consulting etc.) completely. I want to marry travel and media. I will be marry travel and media. Im doing that now. As of now, I am sowing and plantint the seed . I am manifesting what I want by staying on track and talking positively about my future. I am visualizing everything that I want. No complaints!

Focus on what you want insted of what you dont want. Its important to focus on the positive to give it strength. Let that energy flow, be patient, work hard and let it go. Let go and let God. eLet the Unvierse hold you by the hand.

Solo Gal Guide Part 1: Miami

I've done it again people, I am on a roll. I'm so excited about my new move and motivation to write. I like to talk and often find myself talking to my self (i dont answer), mostly out loud just to hear my thoughts. Or talking someones ears off about travel and lifestyle., or the new travel mag I disvovered. And of course I always talk to God. Whom is also a safe haven when people look at me weird when I talk and walk alone. (my aunt thinks i look a bit off when I do that). But here on blogger I can talk. I can talk with my fingers and you peeps are listening.

I am still going to give you the chance to hear me as well. You know im a radio broadcaster, (I got a BA in it and plan to use my skills). I am currently producing my program and cant wait to broadcast it for everyone to hear me chat about what I love!

Also, while i'm writing i'm thinking up new businesses to start leaving a mark on this earth and become the millionairess I know I will be. My latest venture has just started and I am very excited to announce.....I am a consultant!

A consultant you say. Yep. A travel and lifestyle consultant. I tend to have people asking me about where to go in Atlanta for fun, what to do out of town, planing vacays and such, so I decided it was time to upgrade and start a business with my knowledge. This idea was actually introduced to me about 2 years ago, but I never jumped on it. Recently I had an epiphany!

"I want to help others help themselves" - (Taysha Valez)and in turn help myself. Hel others to "Have an experience all their pwn." - (me) I like helping otheers, uplifting them, making them smile. Now its time to uplift myself, completely. I can never take myself for granted and never will. So its time to do something that will empower me. Upgrade me. I luve lifestyle, travel, food, modern creations, activities, events, socializing, networking etc. So, im gonna talk about it and add a little music to boot.

"Get ready, cause here I come!"

Fashionably Eventful!

Greetings All!
Wanted to share my week with you. Thurs thru Sat was a bit busy and fun. For months I received invites in my email about drink/liquer sponsored events that introduce drink brands and the fabulous ingenuity behind the companies that brand, make and distribute them. ie.Kahlua, Crown Royal, Guiness etc. These events are marketing tools to reach the curious drinker.
Well I finally expereinced this meeting of social alchies and learned a lot about "Guiness." The one thing that stands out to me is that I dont really like "Guiness." It has a strong taste and is a bit bitter, but mixed with "Harp" beer, is quite tasty! "Harp" by the way is from the "Motherland." (will have more info on that lata). Needless to say I eft with a slight buzz and a souvenir drinking spoon, specifically made to get the right frosty ring around the head of the glass. Yea,, I know. And my date actually highjacked another piece of paraphanalia.
The night never ended there! We mozied on over to Ibiza Restaurant (Peach tree st.)A fairly new cultural playground. Theres a theme for each night of the week and I experienced their "Arabian" night. The bartender "sweetie" let us taste test a homemade Sangria and crhristioned my night with a smooth and fruity "Ibiza Orgy." (Give this drink a try!Tell'em I sent ya!)
This week I also got to expereince the Hedonism that is "Makos." "Body shots, swinging lapdances, & spankinga, OH MY!"
I'll stop there. Check it out yourself for more details.
Friday, "Compound Nightclub" hosted FASHIONABLY LOUD featuring Whip Appeal Modeling inc. The fashion show was hot. Each walking canvas showed off local brands and represented boutiques around the city (Atlanta)as they walked through the tenshi gardens and pass the hype crowds. Among the lines/designers: Young Jeezy (he has a line?), C.W Jacobs (nice stuff!), and 7 Boutique.
Well wells, im off to do some work in the studio.
Blog from my old blog: Wednesday July 4th

Solo gal Guide Part !: Miami

"Miami is so over-rated," is what I've been hearing lately from other South Florida goers. I think most people only look forward to the partying and drinking, maybe a little shopping, and then get burnt out on the hype. But South Beach really does offer something more. Not only does South Beach have more to offer, but the rest of Miami is still rich in culture, full of activity and hides its best charm in its unpopular, northern, sleepy towns.

The first two times I went to Miami I was ready to let loose and see it all. But to sum it all up, I walked around, danced, walked some more, people watched, drank a Daiquiri or two then went home. Now, that doesn't sound like much of an agenda, but I was new to it all and didn't quite know what to do. The next time I went, I vowed to see more. I wanted to go with the flow of Collins Ave. and explore.

My excuse for the getaway? The WMC. This excursion to Miami was more of a network party for me. I attended the Winter Music Conference. The WMC is said to be one of the biggest dance music festivals and conferences in the U.S. Thousands of people crowd into Miami for a week to attend dance music forums, workshops & parties! You can never grow bored in such a vibrant atmosphere of people and events. There were at least twenty events and activities each night for the conference alone. I spent my days at the Miami Beach Resort and Spa (WMC location) and my nights on South Beach and I partied at the Shelborne Hotel, which houses two clubs and hosts great pool parties, the Raleigh Hotel hosted a Soul Music Session, and Funkshion Lounge and Restaurant held a special event as well. Funkshion gets its name from being a compilation of fashion and music.

Every year they produce a collection of fashion shows that I had the honor of attending. I actually got to preview J.Lo's (Jennifer Lopez) newest clothing line "JustSweet." Female amazon beauties strutted their stuff down the walk to a parade of photographers and sashayed to the rhythm of Miami. I loved every minute of it! During a short intermission there was a bit of frenzy in the lobby. I noticed everyone was eyeing the goody bags being placed on each chair: "JustSweet," black clutches with wavy gold hoops inside! I managed to snag two! Not only did I get a goody bag but I spotted local celebs, popular promoters and familiar models. The sporadic fashion shows in Miami are certainly something everyone should try to check out. Get on a list, STAT!

After the show, the evening was the same as all the others: I WAS HUNGRY!!! Now most visitors of sexy Miami expect to try out posh eateries and maybe even dine on Ocean Drive. It can be expensive eating out on South Beach, but if you keep an eye out and do some research you find some frugal places around Collins and Washington Ave. as well as further up on North Beach. My new favorite place to eat is Dogma. They serve almost every kind of hot dog known to man! You can choose from a traditional beef hot dog, turkey dog or a veggie dog. My pick (almost every night) was the "Pushcart" turkey dog, topped with New York styled cooked onions and spicy brown mustard, with a side of garlic homestyled potato chips (potatoes) all under $7. Yummy. Other places to eat frugally are: Manolo's (not the shoes), located in the sleepy town of Surfside in North Beach. They have different variations of the empanada that are tasty. Chicken, tuna, & spinach empanada's were at the top of my charts. Every morning I enjoyed a cinnamon croissant at this quaint Argentinean Bakery for the low low and bought homemade fettuccine from Mr. Pasta (great to cook in your hotel suite if you have a stove).

If you still need that glitz, Mango's, Located on Ocean Drive's well know with Latin dancers shaking' their bon bon's on the bar, a full daiquiri bar, and great chicken wings. I also hear the Tides hotel has a pretty nifty happy hour and you can customize your own fruity ice pop to cool off with. Before you can eat and after you party, you need someplace to rest your head. I have picks for the quaint & quiet, loud & rowdy, lavish & trendy, and cheap & frugal.

The first few times I ventured out to South Florida, I stayed in the towns of Hollywood,Fl and Aventura. On my second trip in Aventura we were twenty minutes away from South Beach. We stayed at a quaint and simple Marriott owned establishment. Most inexpensive Marriott owned hotels are the Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn and Spring Hill Suites. I don't remember exactly which one I was in but it had to be one of these. While expanding my musical knowledge at the WMC I found the Rode Way Inn: Ocean Way Hotel. This hotel is located in North Beach and is literally steps away from an almost secluded beach. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets entertained my eyes everyday! The Winter Music Conference was held at the Miami Beach Resort and Spa on Collins. (Everything is on Collins!) Now, most buildings in Miami look vintage and weathered, but you can't judge a book by its cover! The Miami Beach Resort and Spa greets you with large, embellished, crystal chandeliers and soft pink and tan colors and textures. The pool is relaxing and the pina colada's at the bar are nice and sweet. There's a spa on hand and tons of conference rooms.

Other posh places: Eden Roc Hotel, with its orange walls and goose down comforters, The Mandarin Oriental for a good celeb watch and the Standard Hotel on Island Ave. The Standard sells inexpensive day passes to their spa, so you don't have to be a resident to pamper yourself! For a quirky stay on the beach, try the Pelican hotel. Each room has a theme in decor and is named accordingly. I hear the "Best Little Whore House" is one of the favorites.

Ok, so now for the cheap and frugal; the best deal in town, generally for young adults, students, and backpackers would be hostelling. It's the best way to go for traveling on a very, very, small budget. Two of the most popular hostels in Miami are The Clay Hotel and Hostel andJazz on South Beach. The Clay Hotel and Hostel is located in the charming and historic Espanola Way. Once resided by gangsters and all their vices, Espanola Way was remodeled to have that charming European feel with the design of its buildings and a Bohemian flair.

The streets are cobble stoned and while walking you'll discover small shops selling things from different cultures and art, restaurants (Try Oh Mexico! Shrimp Taco's), and remnants of its worldly past The Clay Hotel and Hostel houses separate rooms and dorm style bunk beds and spaces for its hosteller's. Jazz on South Beach is actually relocating as I type. Once located a few blocks away from the beach, it's moved on up and into a much bigger space. It wasn't really known as a party hostel but I'm sure it will start a new "tradition" in its new space at the old Atlantica Hotel and Suites. Other hostels to look for: The Tropics Hotel and Hostel, The South Beach Hostel (the newest and includes an all night night-club) and The Miami Beach International Travellers Hostel.

To top off the vastness of this article, I have a plethora of attractions and events that will help to fill any travelers Miami itinerary. If your looking for a "Blast to the Past," "Down Memory Lane," (yea I know), try an Art Deco walking tour around South Beach. Each tour gives history and background on some of the historical buildings and hotels in the area. You'll learn why they call it Art deco and get a little art history along the way. These tours are available with a guide, or on podcast, alone. Other "past" attractions: Villa Vizcaya Victorian home and pool and the Biltmore Hotel. Looking for something more local? Calle Ocho is located in Little Havana, a Hispanic community. Calle Ocho is home to senior citizen males who meet in the park to play dominoes, traditional cigar shops where you can buy your own freshly rolled cigar, and Carnaval Miami.

Museums are everywhere in Miami, believe it or not, even in trendy South Florida. Most people think them to be boring but there are some pretty interesting museums to explore. Well if you need a jolt try the Exotica Museum located on Washington Ave. Dedicated to passion, love and sex, it's hard not to blush, but it will sure keep you awake. More toned down museums would include the Wolfsonian and the Miami Museum of Science.

At the moment my fingers are cramping up a bit here but I still have so much to share about South Florida and So much more to explore! This is just the tip of the iceberg. South Florida is saturated with culture and tons of activities and events to soak yourself in; it's a wonder if its citizens ever sleep. You have a few things in this list to choose from and I have plenty more to share. So when you need more, look me up and we can hang together.

Other than the fabulous attractions pulling me to the tip of Florida, I think its something else that magnetizes me there. The atmosphere, the weather, the sunsets (& rises), the ocean and the flair. I foresee my future. I see myself going back again and again and again.
Peace and Luv ya'll!
Happy Travelin'

The McDonald's of Japanese Cuisine: RUSAN'S

It's a Friday night and im hungry. I wanna go out to eat, and my friends and I are trying to decide where to go. "I only have six dollars to spend, I dont want anything cute, no small plates., and I dont want to get dressed up!" Yells my boisterous friend from across the room. Hey how about Rusan's? You know, the Japanese place out on Moreland ave. I've never been, but like him, If I can get a good meal for under $10, then im game.

Rusan's is a Japanes restaurant serving everything from sushi to sake cocktails. Once we arrived we're seated in the middle of the room and handed multiple menu's. My first thought? What am I drinking? I flip open the menu and to my surprise all cockatails were under $5 and of course that put a smile on my face. "Kiwi Lady Killer," sounds inventive, so i'll give it a try. "Where's the rice?" "I want some fried rice! Don't chinese restaurants always sell rice?" Yells another boisterous peer from across the table. "Well first of all its Japanese, and yes they have rice." So, I order seafood fried rice cause I love seafood and i'm a rice eater. (its the geechee in me).

I had in front of me three menus and as I ordered rice from one I found a food on a stick menu. Yakitori, Tempura, and Kushi Age. I was immediately attracted to the salmon. Salmon on a stick was my choice, (in a future visit I tried the swordfish and the shrimp tempura. Quite tasty!) After ordereing and panting like a dog from hunger my " Kiwi Lady Killer" arrived. Sweet, green, not very strong, with a cherry garnish. Now sake is smooth but in my opinion not as strong as vodka and apparently costs much less. (Sake shots are $1) Although not strong, the "feeling" krept up on me sometime within the dinner. Finally my salmon yakitori arrived to the table covered in a sweet thin sauce. The salmon was wonderful; succulent, flavorful and just fell right off the stick into my mouth. After enjoying my salmon stick i ordered another and started in on my seafood fried rice. Shrimp, squid, scallops and egg were all hidden in the rice and was so good it made me tingly all over! Luv it! (They also have chicken fried rice, plain rice you have to ask for, and veggie fried rice to boot.) I didn't order dessert but at the other end of the table, my friend was enjoying a mountain of fried icecream. I made my way to that mountain and got a taste of fried dough with sweet cream. Imagine eating apple pie crust with Breyer's on top. Sweet.

Its 11:30 and im completely satisfied. So much so, that I ate at Rusan's 3 more times that month! I tried visiting the other two locations in Atlanta: Buckhead on Piedmont and Midtown all the way at the other end of Piedmont ave.Its like a moon shape. Also in Athens and Nashville.

I've spread the word to other friends and family to give it a try and I urge you to get your Yakitori on at, what some call, the McDonalds of Japanese: Rusan's Sushi and Japanese.

Happy Eatin'
